Welcome to yet another fantastically amazing edition of the world-renowned BBC! Today we celebrate the release of Grizzly’s GOTY, the fantastically amazing Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door was originally released in 2004 for the Nintendo GameCube. It features the protagonist Mario, from the famous Mario Brothers, but instead of being composed of fleshy meat, he is made out of paper! That’s right, now Mario was a 2D figurine, in a very 3D capable console!

20 years later, we are finally getting a remake! All of the minecraft babies that weren’t alive back then have never experienced such a magnificent game. All they know is about minecrafts and fortnites. It’s finally their turn to try out the extreme gameplay offered by this game.

But let’s talk about the most important issue with this title. The real juicy and meaty subject that makes Grizzly love it so much! That’s right! The original translation controversy! Back in 2004, Vivian, a ghostly character in the game, was just a regular female character to us English speakers. What we didn’t know, was that in the original Japanese version of the game, Vivian was not born female in gender!

The remake changed the translation back to the original meaning. It was never clear if Vivian was a boy crossdressing as a woman, or if Vivian is trans. But what is very clear is that Mario is an LGBTQ ally! And since he loves this game so much, so is Grizzly!

Grizzly might try to appear like a tough little rascal, but he’s soft like whipped marshmallows inside. He’s a true gay man who loves his fellow LGBTQers! He loves Paper Mario! Hooray for Grizzly!

Buying a copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a vote for human rights! It’s a vote for allyship! So go out and buy multiple copies NAO! And don’t forget to comment below and enjoy!
