BBC: Ninja Gaiden Edition

Welcome to yet another stealthily ninja edition of the world-renowned BBC! Today we celebrate an amazing Nintendo and Xbox franchise which we hold in a special place in our hearts. That’s right! We are talking about Ninja Gaiden!

It all started back during Nintendo’s NES System era of Entertainment. Tecmo (now known as Toei Tecmo) released this masterpiece port of the arcade game. It was such an amazing action-packed game that the masses went wild. Selling billions of copy, Tecmo was forced to release two sequels!

The game stars Ryu Hayabusa as the titular ninja, and it tells his gaiden. He basically is the baddest ninja ever. If someone ever asks you to pick between a pirate, a ninja or a samurai, just shoot them in the face right then and there. Ninjas are the champions.

But we all know what comes after 2. That’s right. 3. With the move from 2D to 3D, we couldn’t just pretend it was the same game. That’s why after 3, came 1. Ninja Gaiden was a brand new franchise on Microsoft’s Xbox!

With the power of the Xbox came the ability to render realistic blood! This cute game suddenly became the most violent depiction of war! Thousands of philosophy and moral essays have been inspired thanks to this series. War, what is it good for?

And last but not least, we must educate our readers. Yes Alex. You. Ninja Gaiden is pronounced Neen-yah Guy-Den. Not Gay den. We know you can’t keep gay out of your mouth, but it’s time to move on.
